No Child Wet Behind Colorado

Diaper Drive and 5K in Evergreen, Colorado

Birth Embraced is so excited and honored to bring No Child Wet Behind to Evergreen, Colorado.

What is No Child Wet Behind?

No Child Wet Behind is a non profit that is helping connect families in need with adequate diapers.  This non-profit was founded by Debbie Aglietti of Northeast Doulas.

This year  27 cities across the nation will have a No Child Wet Behind Event.  To see a listing of the other events, click here.

Many families struggle to provide adequate diapers for their baby/babies

1 in 3 families struggle.  1 in 3!

Even if a family’s income qualifies them for Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), formerly known as the Food Stamp Program, diapers can not be purchased with these benefits.  Day care options (even if paid for through government assistance) require families to bring disposable diapers.  Additionally, most laundromats do not allow the washing of cloth diapers in their facilities.

Even more heartbreaking is the higher risk of child abuse associated with children left in soiled diapers for extended periods of time.

Friends, Family, and Neighbors: We can make a difference!

Please join Birth Embraced and our mountain community in our diaper drive and 5k event on May 21st 2016.   The diaper drive with benefit the Mountain Resource Center.
